Summer Stage Theatre Arts Camp
Give your kids the gift of making theater magic at Riverdale Y’s immersive theater arts camp. Our actors are taught acting, voice, dance, stagecraft, improv and more by supportive industry professionals.
This Year’s Shows
Pure joy emanates from our stage all year long.
Just walk into The Riverdale Y’s cozy theater and feel the energy. Our three resident theater companies provide an exhilarating, creative environment where children, teens and adults feel free to express themselves artistically.
Riverdale Rising Rising Stars, a competitive theater program for teens, was founded in 2000. Jr. Rising Stars, for 3rd-6th graders, followed in 2005. In 2007, an adult company, Riverdale Rep, launched. Our newest addition is Little Rising Stars, a 10-week program for 1st-3rd graders, with a heart-warming final performance.
The Riverdale Y Performing Arts program are run by industry professionals bringing a professional-quality standard to every production while emphasizing skills-building and team work for youth participants.

About the Riverdale Theater Companies
Riverdale Rising Stars
Founded in 2000, our award-winning teen program is the flagship of all of our RPAC theater companies. Open to 7th-12th graders, our teens perform two musicals and one play per season. Each summer we perform a Summer Stock production which features Current Rising Stars and alumni who are attending college. Participation is by audition only.

Junior Rising Stars
Our award-winning Junior program is open to children 3rd-6th grade. There are two full-scale musicals for this age group each season. Participation is by audition only.

Little Rising Stars
Little Rising Stars is an introductory Musical Theater program for 1st – 3rd grade students who want to learn more about musical theater. Classes are held once a week, for 45 minutes, with two final performance opportunities!
Little Rising Stars Spring 2025 starts March 2.
A final performance of Winnie The Pooh – Kids! will be on June 1
Riverdale Rep
The Rep is our adult theater company, open to adults ages 18+. We have participants whose ages range from 18-80! This program gives adults in our community an opportunity to reconnect with an art form that they may have left behind. The social aspect, combined with community building is as important as the shows themselves! The Rep typically participates in two musicals per year; one just for Rep members and one that is multi-generational. Participation is by audition only.
