Here at the Riverdale Y, we offer personal training packages to both fitness members and non-members. Members receive a special discount. 

Personal training offers many benefits and can help enhance your fitness and wellness journey. It allows for personalized fitness plans designed to meet your individual goals and fitness levels. You and your trainers work together to guide you on nutrition, lifestyle changes, and injury prevention, fostering a holistic approach to health.

Pedro A.

Pedro is a coach and trainer for athletes and individuals seeking the improvement and well-being of their health and physique. Over the years, and through his experience, Pedro has dedicated himself to changing lives through habits, nutrition, and smart training. Trust the process and unlock your most active self along with Pedro.

Celena

Celena’s passion for fitness started early through sports and blossomed into a love for movement and performance. She went on to earn a BFA in Musical Theatre, where she combined physical expression with creativity.

While in college, she suffered a knee injury during a ballet class, which sparked a deeper interest in injury recovery and strength training. After months of physical therapy and consistent time in the gym, Celena decided to turn her experience into a career in Group Fitness and Personal Training.

Celena creates a supportive and inclusive environment for all fitness levels, whether you’re new, returning after a break, or recovering from an injury. She offers modifications and alternatives to ensure everyone feels confident and capable.

Her mission is to meet clients where they are, help them build strength and confidence, and empower them to move through daily life with ease, without pain or fear.

Wainer H. 

Wainer had always been passionate about going to the gym and when co-workers and friends had begun asking him for help he decided to take the next step and educate himself to better help others. He joined The Dominican Physiotherapy and fitness Institute (IDFF) and gained his first certification as a Personal Trainer. Wainer is very passionate about broadening his knowledge about fitness and continues to educate himself about different types of fitness and ways to help people reach their goals. He has a wide range of experience from working with professional athletes to working in mobility rehabilitation Wainer is able and willing to help everyone to reach their fitness goals.

Ori N.

Ori has always loved fitness since participating in the Bronx community 5ks at 10 years old. Ori has experience from cross country and also in weight lifting as he has grown, his passionate about helping people reach their fitness goals has only grown. He is a cross country runner turned weightlifter, who trains mainly for strength now. Ori is passionate about helping people feel better about themselves and their fitness. He is happy to help people at all different fitness levels and understands that the first step is always the hardest. Ori is looking to help people feel good about their progress and help them to achieve their goals.

Julio R.

After completing high school in 2012, my determination to pursue a career aligned with my passion for fitness and sports performance became obvious. In the spring of 2017, I earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science (Exercise and Movement Science). Post-graduation, I immersed myself in the field, guiding individuals from diverse backgrounds on their fitness journeys. With over 8 years of experience as a Fitness Professional, I am enthusiastic about positively impacting the lives of many at Riverdale Y and look forward to continuing this journey.

Dion

Dion has been going to the gym since his early teens. He’s always been inspired by what the human body can do and enjoys finding ways to maximize natural physique while maintaining a healthy, safe routine and lifestyle. Dion loves helping others in a supportive, caring way, making sure they stay safe and build confidence. He believes fitness is a personal journey, and everyone moves forward at their own pace.
