From the Volunteer Director,
This year’s MLK Day of Service truly embodied Dr. King’s vision of service, justice, and hope.
Here is what we did:
- Hands-On Service Projects: We packed 20,000 meals, assembled over 2,000 hygiene kits, and collected ten carloads of winter wear for those in need.
- Community Discussions: Older adults and teens engaged in meaningful conversations about advocacy and the power of collaboration.
- 54 Miles to Impact – Reflective Art Project: Over 100 stunning reflective art pieces were created, capturing the essence of hope and service.
What’s Next?
Our work doesn’t stop here! Together, we continue to make a difference.
In February, we are hosting a Fundraiser for our Older Adult Center. In March, we celebrate Purim with our community. On April 6 – Good Deeds Day, we come together again for a large-scale impactful service project.
Thank you for making an impact in our community!
Warm regards,
Alexandra Nyashina
Director of Volunteer Services
