Callbacks to follow on Wednesday, September 11 and Thursday, September 12. Times TBA. Please prepare a short song in the style of the show or from the show. Any other later Golden Age era musicals are also fine (Brigadoon, She Loves Me, Damn Yankees). You may sing a capella or bring accompaniment. We may have accompanist present. Riverdale Rep participation is by audition only and open to adults ages 18+ and requires a tax-deductible contribution to help cover costs.

Carousel Revival Cast Recording
Please prepare a short selection of any Rodgers & Hammerstein song. No need to register ahead of time. You will sign up in the order you arrive. You need only attend one of the initial auditions, but please make yourselves available for the Callback dates/times. Riverdale Rising Stars is open to teens ages 12 (and in 7th grade) through high school seniors. Participation is by audition only.

Optional Audition Workshop
Audition Workshops for Rising Stars callbacks for Carousel. Work with members of the Walton family (not Laurie) on your material for your Carousel Callbacks! Workshops will be held on Wednesday, September 11 and Thursday, September 12 from 6:45-9pm. You will work on callback sides and songs, being coached on the style of the musical. The days will be divided by characters, so you cannot select a specific date. If you have a conflict with attending either day, let Director, Laurie Walton know at your first audition. Jr. Rising Stars
The Addams Family: Youth Edition

Audition Dates: Sunday, September 8, 11am-4pm; Tuesday, September 10, 4pm-6pm; Wednesday, September 11, 4pm-6pm

Your child need only attend one of the time slots listed. You MUST register your child for an audition slot ahead of time. Please note that Jr Rising Stars is open to children ages 8-11 (3rd-6th grade). Children in 1st or 2nd grade are invited to audition for 101 Dalmatians with Little Rising Stars.

As in the past two years, we will be holding two (2) Pre-Audition Workshops if you would like your child to get a little coaching on the material prior to coming into the room for the directing Team. To prepare for the auditions, children should select one of the following two song sections:

Optional Audition Workshop
If your child would like support in preparing their audition materials, the audition workshop may be for you. Run by Rising Stars alums & Laurie, this workshop has been very successful for the children to get comfortable auditioning in a no-stakes context over the past two seasons. Hope you will join us!
Registration will open Wednesday, August 28. The audition workshop is not required to audition for the show.
Little Rising Stars
101 Dalmatians: Kids
Show Dates: early February 2025, exact dates TBD
Private audition required. Request an audition here by September 15.
We are excited to announce a full production for our 1st, 2nd & 3rd grade budding stars! Auditions are open to 6 & 7 year olds,(who have entered 1st or 2nd grade) as well as 8 year olds who may not yet be ready for the rigors of a bigger production process.
If you are interested in having your child participate please fill out this form by Sunday, September 15. On Monday, September 16 you will receive an email from our Director, Amanda Eastman, with audition and production information.

Teens: Sunday, September 8 from 2-5pm and Tuesday, September 10 from 6-8pm
You can audition for the musical production at the same time.

Riverdale Rep, in conjunction with Riverdale Rising Stars, announces auditions for The Laramie Project. Open to adults ages 18+ and High School Aged teens. Auditions will be held for adults on Sunday, September 8 from 5:30-8:30pm and Monday, September 9 from 6:30-8:30pm. Auditions for the Teens will be on Sunday, September 8 from 2-5pm and Tuesday, September 10 from 6-8pm.
Please prepare a selection from those attached. Audition monologue ages are subject to some flexibility…so don’t worry too much about listed ages.
If you are auditioning for the musical as well, you can do both at the same time.
