Spend time with older adults over meals, classes, and conversation—while building hands-on experience for a future in social work or community care.
Join our Older Adult Center team and play a vital role in creating a welcoming, supportive space for older neighbors. You will share meals, spark hallway conversations, attend classes, and assist participants with daily needs like filling out paperwork or navigating programs. You will also help with lunch service and greet members as they arrive—making sure everyone feels included and connected.
- You will learn: Interpersonal communication, group engagement, basic casework support, customer service in a social service setting.
- Qualities: Outgoing, empathetic, dependable, patient, enjoys talking with people across backgrounds.
- Commitment: At least 2 days per week, 9:30 AM–2:30 PM.
- Impact: Reduce loneliness, strengthen relationships, and ensure older adults feel valued and supported.
