Class Descriptions
Schvitz 440
Schvitz 440 guides you through 4 circuits of 3 types of exercises that you will rotate through for a total of 10 minutes (including rest). When you finish the circuit, you move to the next one. Completing this workout takes 40 minutes.
HiiT
High-intensity interval training (aka HiiT), is a training technique in which you give all-out, one hundred percent effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short, sometimes active, recovery periods.
Gentle Fitness
Gentle Fitness is intended for those who are new to exercise, recovering from injury or need a less aggressive form of exercise. There is little to no impact and the moves are simple to follow.
Aqua Fitness
Aqua fitness helps tone muscles while protecting the joints in our pool. Perform gentle movements in water to increase range of motion, strengthen muscles, and enhance overall fitness. Being able to swim is not required, but a swim cap is.
Yoga
Hatha Vinyasa style class emphasizing breath, balance and stability. Using mindfully aligned yoga postures to improve our breathing, strengthen, stretch, and steady the body and mind.
OsteYo (Yoga)
This Hatha Yoga class is for people with osteoporosis or osteopenia – it is OsteYo. A gentle yoga practice to strengthen the lower back and hips; reducing tension and pain. You will also learn how all healing begins with your breath.
Masala Bhangra
Masala Bhangra is an Indian dance workout where you bring out your feminine grace with Bollywood and masculine side with bhangra. These moves don’t only help you lose weight but also help in toning your body.
Pilates
Exercises focus on lengthening muscles and maintaining alignment, with emphasis on form, control, and increasing body awareness.
Zumba
Zumba is a high-energy class that incorporates a fusion of Latin & international music that combines aerobic/fitness interval dance routines.
Core & Strength
This class focuses on stretching your body and strengthening your core focusing on back, abdominals, hip and gluteus muscles.
Tabata
Tabata is a high-intensity interval training (aka HiiT) program that combines different training timings and simple bodyweight exercises. Classes use the 20-10 seconds Microburst Training Protocol and other various HiiT protocols like 40-30-20 or 30-20-10 seconds timing.
Family Boxing
Learn the fundamentals of boxing with your child (age 8+) during this authentic boxing class. Sweat and punch with power and speed.
Body Burnout
Fast-paced and strength-building class for high-intensity training. Combines different training timings and simple bodyweight exercises much like Tabata or HiiT.
Boxing
In Boxing, you will learn the fundamentals of boxing. We will work on coordination, stamina, and building explosive power. A great high-energy workout.
Ballet Workout
Combining basic ballet movements with repetition and conditioning exercises, Ballet Workout improves overall mobility and balance, stretches and strengthens, and promotes aligned posture. Inspire your workout with the beauty and full body toning of ballet! Open Level: modifications/options provided. No prior dance experience necessary.
