Clothing, Hygiene Items & Backpacks Donations

From gently used clothing for all age groups to warm coats, cozy hats, and essential winter items, our community stepped up to provide the basics that newly arrived individuals and families desperately needed. The generosity of everyone who donated cannot be overstated, and we are deeply grateful for your contributions. Special recognition goes to Council Member Eric Dinowitz for participating and inspiring others to give back to their community.
Sorting
On October 9th, we witnessed an incredible outpouring of support as community members joined us for the sorting event at the Riverdale Y.
Not only did this event make a positive impact on those less fortunate, but it also exemplified how meaningful community service can be. A special thank you goes out to the Bronx School of Law & Finance, whose students and staff went above and beyond in sorting these essential items. Your dedication and enthusiasm were truly appreciated.

Our final step in this journey was delivering the freshly cleaned and sorted items to those in need on October 22nd. To respect the recipients’ dignity and privacy, we are keeping the specifics confidential, but we want to acknowledge and express our gratitude to the volunteers who made this crucial step possible.
