Used eye glasses, broken frames, broken lenses -- they all can be recycled to aid the needy!

January 23-February 14:
Purim's Esther's Closet is Back!
It was great last year -- recycle your Purim costumes and benefit the Y ... consume less, create less waste, spend less, and clean out your closet? Esther's Closet will be on Sunday, February 14, from noon - 2:00 pm. Here's how it works: Bring your gently used costumes to donate to theY (1/23 - 2/14). At the exchange on February 14, browse "new" costumes and purchase them for a nominal fee(most will be $5). So COME ON! Empty the closets! Funds raised will support the costume fund of the Y's children's theater companies.

March 1-17:
Not-Kosher-for-Passover Food Drive
Start to clean out your food pantry before Passover. Bring in all your non-Kosher-for-Passover food and we will donate it to City Harvest.  Please make sure that your items are canned, or dry non-expired items.

March 18-April 2:
Kosher for Passover Food Drive
This is our annual Kosher for Passover food drive.  There are still many Jewish people in the city of New York, particularly aged people on the Lower East Side, who are poor, homebound and will have difficulty preparing for and observing the Passover Holiday. We will collect KOSHER FOR PASSOVER FOOD ONLY, to be distributed by Project Ezra.
