Drop-In Art for Pre-School Children
Ages2-5 with caregiver

Young kids are given the opportunity to
be creative while exploring a variety of
media and materials to create works of
art. Instructor Joy Langer is great about
getting kids enthusiastic about art as
they enjoy collage, crayons, paint,
glitter, 3d objects, group projects and
more!
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
$10 per class - no pre-registration required!

Instructor Joy Langer holds a fine arts
degree from the Fashion Institute of
Technology and a B.F.A from Art Institute
of Boston. She has taught art to
students of all ages in New York City,
and Jerusalem, Israel for many years.

Silk Painting Studio
Silk painting students may use 1/2 the
Art Studio (with no instructor) on
Wednesdays from 7-9:30 pm.
$10 per session.

Teen /Adult Ceramics
14 Thursdays, 7:30-9:30
Ages 15 - Adult
$300* / $250 Y members
We welcome all students from beginning
to advanced. Students
will have the opportunity to explore clay
using the potter's wheel and handbuilding
techniques. Learn how to glaze
and decorate your functional and/or
sculptural pieces. Individual instruction
will be given. Cost of firing is included in
the course fee. Clay fee is additional.
Instructor

Barbara Flam is a professional
potter and has been teaching ceramics to
children, teens and adults at the Y since
1987.She holds a B.A. in art with a
specialization in ceramics, a Master's of
Art degree and a NYS teaching
certification.
